What do you think of Senator Fraser Anning's Speech in Parliament?

First, He has violated the Australian multicultural national policy that has been supported by almost all the major political parties in Australia for more than 40 years;

Second,  He violated our non-discriminatory immigration policy of Australia as well.

Senator Anning was voted in and supported by a very small number of primary votes.

I am very pleased that the Prime Minister, the Hon.  Malcolm  Turnbull and the Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs the Hon.  Alan  Tudge and others Ministers and shadow Ministers  immediately criticized him including the Federal Labor Leader of the Senate, the Hon. Ms Penny Wong. She raised from the Senate to refute him in no uncertain term. Fraser  Anning's speech was very bad. It is gratifying to see that so many Federal representatives in Australia's political arena have expressed their opposition.  I think it turns out to be a good reaction.  It enables the whole nation to reaffirm its recognition of the our correct and successful national multicultural policies.

What do you think of the existence and rise of political forces in Australia against the national multicultural  policies in recent years?

Yes, I think Australia's political opposition to the national multicultural policies has been on the rise in the last year or two.

This upward trend, in addition to Australia's domestic reasons, is also influenced by the global right-leaning populist ideas and by U.S. President Donald Trump's " America first populism". This populism is dangerous and can be easily exploited by a minority of right-wingers and fear mongers. Slogans like "these immigrants are stealing our jobs and terrorising our citizens etc" can bewitch into fear for ordinary citizens who can be conned into believing their rumours.

If such forces are allowed to spread unchecked, they may even create social divisions. and upheaval. So we have to be vigilant against these few people in Australia. All Australians should remain sober and constantly reminding our national leaders not to take this wrong path.

In fact, former Liberal Prime Minister Abbott and previous Minister of Immigration Dutton have to a varying degrees move toward  this tendency in their speeches and action. I think this is wrong.

Do you think that these anti-multicultural populist forces also indirectly affect the mainstream politics in Australia, and make them biased toward the direction of multiculturalism, is that right?

Yes, they are willing to influence mainstream politics, and we must remain sober-minded and know who are the trouble makers. Using our public opinion and the power of the people to suppress the bad influence of these people.

What do you think the current the living environment of Chinese in Australia?

I think the current living environment of the Chinese in Australia is generally good, because our Government and national policies are protecting multiculturalism, which is opposed to a very small number of opportunistic politicians and people. These minority of people cannot create too much danger right now. However, we must remain highly vigilant, and at the same time, we Chinese must constantly strive to be righteous, good citizens and abide by the law, and cooperate with the mainstream to stop the provocation of these few ultra-rightists.
